Hong Lian Gim Kee (HLGK) was set up by the late Mr Ee Heng Lau in 1947 as a wholesaler for rice and other food provisions.
It quickly established itself in the rice industry and by the 1980s, HLGK has become one of the major rice importers in Singapore supplying to the various segments of the local market.

About Us
HLGK also diversified into related businesses beyond rice. In 1995, the Golden Pineapple (GPA) Sugar product range was introduced offering retail as well as bulk packs for its fine and coarse grain cane sugar.
Today, HLGK distributes its rice and sugar products to all major supermarkets, minimarts, wholesalers, F&B outlets, ship chandlers and food services industries. It is also the preferred partner of the DFI Group in developing their Giant and Cold Storage corporate house brands.
Leveraging on its decades of expertise in the rice and sugar industry, HLGK continues to strive in delivering quality products and ensuring timely delivery to all its customers.
